The contribution of the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust towards generating a culture of entrepreneurship has been recognised by an organisation committed to promoting the idea of entrepreneurship, worldwide.
From over 700 organisations that applied to have their efforts recognised as having made an ‘outstanding impact’ during ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ - which took place in November under the auspices of, among others, London-based Enterprise UK – PSYBT was one of just 131 entitled to carry the GEW seal of approval.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is a worldwide movement of entrepreneurial people expressing their ambition and talents.
Organisations like PSYBT hosted a variety of events which encouraged entrepreneurial spirit and highlighted the projects and events being run in the local area.
The seal of approval means that PSYBT can use with pride the logo on all of their marketing materials.
Last year, there were over 32,000 events run in 88 countries, attended by more than 7.5 million people. In the UK, over 529,000 people attended 4812 events.
During the week events which were part of the PSYBT contribution included the PSYBT Business Awards National Final at Glasgow City Chambers as well as an event highlighting enterprise opportunities to students in Perth.
