If you're aged 16 - 30 years old, live in the Glasgow area and are thinking about starting your own business, come along to 'Get Enterprising' a FREE event for people who are considering self-employment as a career option or are in the early stages of running a business.
Sponosored by YEZ Glasgow in partnership with Youth Business Scotland, Glasgow City Council and Glasgow's Regeneration Agency, the event takes place on Friday 8th Feb at the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow from 9.15m till 3.30pm. At the event you’ll have the opportunity to attend workshops which focus on getting financially prepared, generating ideas on how to market a business as well as build confidence and learn how to sell your products/service. The event will also give you access to the people you need to speak to to find out more. With an exhibition area featuring enterprise organisations such as the Cultural Enterprise Office, Business Gateway, the Scottish Institute for Enterprise and many more, you'll gain advice and information on how to take the first steps in business.
You'll also hear first-hand from other young entrepreneurs about their experiences in starting a business and get to ask them questions. Plus guest speaker, David Hamilton who started successful games company, Digital Goldfish which created content for mobile phones and developed mobile versions of the popular Ninja Kiwi games Bloons and Bloons TD will share his experiences in business too.
Compeered by up and coming comedienne, Anna Devitt, Direct Devitt the day is sure to be fun, informative and prepare you with all the essential information you need to start your own business. What’s more you'll get a FREE lunch, a goody bag and the chance to win an Ipad!
