Rachel describes her business, The Art Room as “a little room that’s filled to the brim with an eclectic range of art and crafts for both children and adults.” Housed in the recently refurbished Saint Andrews Primary and now known as “The Old School”, Rachel has a studio where she sells a variety of unusual and unique knick-knacks from across the country and plans to start art workshops and classes too. The Art Room is open Monday to Friday, 10am-2pm then 4pm – 7.30pm and from 10am till 3pm on Saturdays.

The Gathering were also informed of the exciting news that the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and Magnox Ltd have recently provided funding of £270,000 over the next 5 years through the "Beyond Chapelcross" project . This will allow PSYBT to provide significant additional resources to help strengthen and diversify the local business base in the Gretna, Lockerbie and Annan (GLA) Triangle, as well as the wider Annandale & Eskdale Region.
