Wendy Duckett - Fife Volunteer of the Year 2011

Wendy Duckett has been a member of the PSYBT aftercare team since 2009. Wendy runs her own IT and training company and is currently mentor to 4 businesses in the Fife region. Wendy was nominated for the Fife Volunteer of the Year 2011 as she is a friendly and enthusiastic volunteer who works very hard with the young people, using her coaching skills to help them to develop to their full potential. Wendy is pictured with Kellie Buchanan, a musician and singer who received funding from PSYBT to set up her own business.

Kellie says “I enjoy the practical side of my business; performing, recording and networking. However, I sometimes struggle to 'put on my business hat' as Wendy says, and can find it difficult to set prices and deal with the admin side of my business”.
She continues “Over the past year or two, Wendy and I have had regular meetings to discuss progress within my business. She always offers solid advice and encourages me to approach matters in a practical, organised and professional manner. I really want to say a huge thank you to Wendy - you don't know how much you keep me striving towards my goals, and your advice and encouragement makes me get everything done, not just the things I enjoy”.
