Tony Hammock is an Operations Management and Quality specialist with a background in the Automotive, Engineering and Food sectors. He currently works part time as a freelance Manufacturing and Management Coach in addition to running the Strumhor B&B in Connel with his wife. The rest of his time is devoted to his other career and passion; sea kayaking. He is a qualified kayak guide and instructor and is often seen leading clients of his Seafreedom Kayak company amongst the Argyll islands. In March 2009 National Geographic magazine featured a kayaking trip around Jura and Islay with Tony. Tony has been a volunteer aftercare advisor for PSYBT since 2005. Businesses he has supported include the award winning Philip Price of Loch Visions who credits Tony for contributing to his sound business planning and Total Station Service, started by a Polish couple, giving Tony the opportunity to practice the few words of Polish he picked up several years ago working as a consultant in Poland. “I’m delighted to have someone with Tony’s mix of skills and experience on board as a volunteer” says PSYBT Regional Manager for Argyll. “Feedback from clients has been that Tony’s input really adds value to their business, which is exactly what our aftercare programme is designed to achieve”.
