Iain Borthwick became involved with PSYBT through his employer in Fife who recognised that he was an individual with a record of leading and growing businesses and supported his wish to help the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Combining full-time employment with his volunteering role, Iain has supported 6 young people and has developed his coaching to match each individual's requirements. Iain comments “I have discovered that it’s important to define success at an early stage, so that we can work together towards the same goal. Sharing the vision of the business is the key to making the aftercare relationship successful and once I had developed this skill I found I could assist the young business people more effectively to take each step in their journey”
After 6 years in the role of PSYBT aftercare adviser helping young people to start up and continue in business, Iain has now taken on the role of specialist adviser within Fife region. He will be assisting with particular queries on strategy, business growth, sales and marketing.
