Body Electric Dance & Soul

Louise had been teaching dance for over 2 years, hiring local community centres and teaching in a local nursery and schools when she decided she could turn her ‘hobby’ into a business.

In November 2007 she opened a dedicated Dance Studio, Body Electric Dance and Soul on the Whitesands in Dumfries, which now boasts a membership base of over 400 children and adults with the aim to make modern dance forms accessible to as many individuals as possible. Louise strives at running a competitive free environment, encouraging each dancer to be the best they can be, whether they are dancing for fun, fitness or towards a dance career. Classes aim to help build confidence and high self-esteem Body Electric Dance and Soul pride themselves on never saying ‘I Can’t, but by following our mission statement of “Believe and You Can”

Louise caters for all ages from 3 to 93! She also provides additional services such as wedding packages (for that all important first dance!), workshops and birthday parties.
