New Awards for Businesses in Travel and Tourism launched

A new Scotland wide awards scheme for young entrepreneurs starting up, or growing business in travel/tourism sector was launched on 17th July 2007 thanks to a substantial donation from The Moffat Charitable Trust.

The Moffat Awards, which will run for at least 5 years, will recognise young businesses who are demonstrating best practice, excellent customer service and positive economic and community impact.

Throughout the year, PSYBT’s network of 18 regional managers will identify examples of outstanding impact and achievement across the country and these will be shortlisted for the inaugural awards ceremony in May 2008. The Awards will also be open to entries from established businesses in the PSYBT network, operating within the travel/tourism sector.
