Leonie Woolf launched her business earlier this year after she received funding from PSYBT through the BT Scotland Young entrepreneurs scheme, which was set up to encourage young people to use e-commerce to boost their businesses.
Leonie had the original idea a while ago, but the business really only started growing this year. She purchased her first composite boat a year or so ago, and wanted to make it unique. She spent countless days looking online for a company that could help her design some graphics, even looking into marine yacht companies.
After carrying out some research on materials and experimenting with different strengths of vinyl, Leonie applied the graphics to her boat and realised that she could make a business out of this.
Art & Sea offers a complete design service for everything from sea kayaks to river boats and open canoes, with lots of inspiration and ideas to give boats a unique look. It is ideal for those looking for something a little bit different.
There is also the option to choose from a range of ready-made designs such as tribal, celtic or animals and birds. These can be purchased on the website.
